17th
Annual Pancake Benefit:
A Record Breaking Event!
Story by Nathan Stallinga, Development
Director
|
We
would like to thank all the people who made our 17th Annual
Pancake Benefit such a huge success! It was a record-breaking event.
For the
first time, we raised over $100,000 in sponsorships, in-kind
advertising, ticket sales, monetary donations, and items sold the day of
the event.
|
|
 |
We were
honored to have 2,960 of the 4,035 people who purchased tickets join us
at the Historic Coliseum in downtown Sioux Falls on Sunday, March 29th.
This was an increase of over 300 people from last year! On
average, we served over 455 people per hour! |
Thanks
again, for everyone who purchased tickets or made a donation towards the
event. Our sponsors included:
|
|
 |

Omnicare of South Dakota, Great Western Bank, CITI, Sammons Financial -
Midland National Life & First Premier Bank and Bankcard.

|
Also, we
would like to thank the 70+ volunteers who helped. Our volunteers
included representatives from many different community organizations as
well as staff from South Dakota Achieve. Without your help, we could
have never done it!
As our
radio ad stated, “Sometimes a pancake is more than a pancake…by
supporting this event, you are directly supporting people to
Achieve their dreams!”
We look forward to seeing you next year. |
