Employment Opportunities

  • On-Site Employment (Industrial Workshops)

    • Five workshops onsite at 4100 S. Western Ave. 
    • Provides opportunity for work training while doing real work
    • People receive
      • understanding of the workday
      • Feedback on their performance
      • Pay for work completed
  • Employment throughout the Community

    • We have helped to train and place over 60 people in other businesses such as the:
      • Federal Building (custodial services)
      • Nash Finch Reclamation Center
      • EROS Data Center
      • several retail stores and restaurants

Food Services

  • Prepares meals for 240 people that work in the SDA workshops everyday
  • Prepares and delivers 17,000 meals per month to other non-profits including the Juvenile Detention Center, Southeastern Behavioral Health, Turning Point, and others. 
  • Offers another on-site work opportunity

Catering Services

  • Full catering services with experienced staff
  • Banquet room accommodates up to 150 guests

  • Can serve larger groups off-premise

  • Ample off-street parking

  • Very competitive prices

  • Plus, we deliver

Speech and Language Services

  • Serves people who people who communicate non verbally or have difficulty communicating
  • Helps people learn to utilize communication devices
  • Assists and monitors the special dietary needs for people who have dysphagia (swallowing disorder)

Medical Services

  • SDA has a nursing staff that attends to all of the health care needs of the people we serve including:
    • scheduling medical appointments
    • monitoring medications
    • assisting during illnesses
    • and more...
  • Restorative Technician's, Physical Therapist, and Occupational Therapist
    • Assist people with stretching exercises
    • Mobility exercises
    • Muscle Flexibility Exercises

Residential Services

  • Offers independent living education, training, and support in 14 SVS-owned homes and apartments
  • Supports many individuals that live in their own apartments and homes they rent or own
  • "Rural Outreach" -- Serving individuals outside of Sioux Falls
